Echo Mountain is currently accepting general employment requests and resumes for the 2011/12 winter season.  Any available positions available in specific departments are listed below.

Rental Tech

Key Responsibilities:
 
Ski/Snowboard Technicians will be responsible for supplying and properly fitting equipment to guests
Technicians must have excellent guest service skills as well as a basic knowledge of snow sports
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work space  

Requirements:

Excellent customer service & verbal communication skills
Candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays
Fun, caring, outgoing attitude 

Weekend Ski Instructors  

This is a great part-time job opportunity for those who love to ski & ride. Work on the slopes, sharing your enthusiasm for skiing with young children & guests of all ages. Skiing ability is not as important as ability to provide young children with a great day on the mountain that is safe, fun & educational.

This position reports directly to the Ski & Ride School Manager and will be paid an hourly rate based on experience. Benefits include an Echo Mountain season pass, free skiing and riding at many other Colorado ski areas, discounts on food & retail items at Echo Mountain & paid training.
We are not currently hiring snowboard instructors.

Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):

Teaching skiing to young children & adults, using the American Teaching System
Supervising young children & attending to sick or sad children
Preparing & serving lunches for youth lessons
Helping students with lift operations
Setting up & tearing down ski school area
Assisting with ski & ride school registration
Actively participating in training
Assisting in any & all departments when necessary

Requirements:

Excellent customer service & verbal communication skills
Fun, caring, outgoing attitude
Desire to work with young children ages 3 & up, as well as the general public
Ability to engage with both young children & their parents throughout the day
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Previous teaching experience is preferred, but we will consider entry level instructors
Experience working with children or coursework in childhood development desired
