Under Armour 3rd Rail Jam Set to Hit Echo Mountain

The Under Armour 3rd Rail Jam is set to hit Echo Mountain for the second consecutive season this Saturday, January 28! Come, witness some of the best talent on the snow anywhere! Think you have what it takes to compete?

3rd Rail Jam is a national touring grassroots snow sport competition coupled with live hip-hop music, art, fashion, technology and culture. There are seperate divisions for kids (15 and under), girls snowboard all ages, open class (16+ male snowboard) and skiers all ages. $5 of the $25 registration goes to Amped 4-a-Cure - supporting cancer research through music. Remember - all competitors must either be an Echo Mountain season pass holder or have a single day ticket in order to compete in the 3rd Rail Jam. Register in advance now by clicking HERE !

 

Rider information:

Each heat will be about 30 mins (finals times may vary)
Helmets are required
Bibs to be worn on dominate leg
Treat other riders with respect
Rail Jam cap is 150 participants

Evergreen Winter Festival

Evergreen Park & Recreation District is excited to announce a new event at Evergreen Lake, to celebrate what Evergreen does best – WINTER!  The First Annual Winter Festival at Evergreen Lake will occur on February 4, 2012 and is brought to you by the Evergreen Park & Recreation District in partnership with Echo Mountain. 

Daytime events will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Echo Mountain, with the SnowDash Extreme 5K Adventure Race at Echo Mountain. For race information and registration, visit www.snowdashcolorado.com

Events at Evergreen Lake Park will kick off at 10:00 a.m. and are free during the day.  Featured daytime events will include a snow mountain bike race, snow sculpture competition, figure skating exposition, sleigh rides, a Snow Castle play area for kids, and unique winter sports.  The Winter Festival at Evergreen Lake will feature a Beer Garden, hot drinks, seasonal food and shopping from a wide variety of local vendors. Ice-skating will be open to the public throughout the day.

Purse includes $500 cash for 1st place in each division of the Open/Pro contest.  Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each division of both Amateur and Open/Pro.  Top Amateur in each division moves up to Finals.

MADsteeze Mondays

Echo Mountain is excited to introduce Mad Steeze Mondays!  For four Monday nights (1/23, 1/30, 2/6, 2/13) we will be offering a freestyle camp for skiers and snowboarders ages 12 and up, of all levels and styles.  Our beginner/intermediate session will focus on introducing new and beginner park riders to all that the park has to offer.  Campers will explore basic jibs and jumps while also practicing park etiquette and safety. For intermediate/advanced riders who want to take the next steps in their freestyle, the camp will focus on specific new tricks and styles. The camp will be open to riders at a level 4 or 5 ability (see Echo's ski and ride school online).  Previous park experience is not required to attend; however, linked turns (snowboard) and parallel turns (skiing) is a must.


Price for the four week camp is $175 (lift ticket is not-included, but may be purchased at a discount of $20/night)
